For more than six decades, Northwest Kidney Centers have worked to improve the lives of people with kidney disease. As the need for dialysis has grown, so has their facilities.

MLA provided a structural seismic evaluation of an existing 8,765 SF office building which the owner planned to convert to a kidney dialysis center. Design upgrades included additional underfloor framing for increased floor loading, new openings in brick CMU walls, equipment bracing, and floor framing for scale depression. MLA reviewed the existing roofing trusses and worked extensively coordinating with the mechanical engineer to limit additional roof framing required for the new mechanical units.
