Structural Engineer
MLA Engineering’s Seattle office has an immediate opening for a structural engineering position.

MLA Engineering is a growing consulting and design firm based in Seattle, WA. We specialize in structural engineering for diverse and unique projects, including new building designs, renovations, and specialized facilities such as aquariums and zoos across the U.S. and internationally. Our portfolio also includes governmental infrastructure projects at county and state levels.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. This role offers opportunities for advancement into leadership positions for individuals with the right skills and drive.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and analyze structures in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood framing.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Utilize structural analysis software and BIM tools for project execution.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited program. Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a structural engineering consulting environment.
• Licensure: EIT required for candidates with 3–5 years of experience; PE or SE preferred for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in REVIT and structural software such as RISA, ETABS, SAP2000.
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
