Current Position Available

Structural Engineer

MLA Engineering’s Seattle office has an immediate opening for a structural engineering position.

Requiring a minimum of two years of experience specifically in structural analysis and building design; someone who is skilled and interested in developing high quality construction drawings, using state-of-the-art software, and familiar with designing using the major construction materials. 

MLA has on-going multi-year long local, national, and international projects that include aquariums, zoos, and entertainment facilities, as well as infrastructure projects that include county and Sound Transit projects within the Puget Sound region. Our staff enjoys designing diverse projects that require critical thinking and creativity. We combine the opportunity of engineering unique and exciting projects with the flexibility and culture of a smaller office that works on large design projects. MLA's convenient downtown Seattle office near the waterfront is a bright, open, and welcoming environment. 

Qualifications required for this position:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree

  • Strong technical and analytical skills -- intuitive and practical

  • Familiarity with and passion for using REVIT as a design tool

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experienced at providing accurate work that is well-organized

  • Skilled in working both independently and collaboratively
