Locations: Black Diamond, Carnation, Fall City, Muckleshoot, and Snoqualmie.

MLA Engineering provided the structural design services of five new libraries which included determining the structural systems, performing structural calculations, coordinating building design with the prime contractor, and developing construction drawings. MLA participated in the review of shop drawings, field visits, and were responsive to the contractor’s inquiries on providing the best structural solutions for each of the libraries. Building materials used included structural steel, concrete, CMU, cold-formed steel framing, as well as wood framing. The five libraries’ locations are Black Diamond, Carnation, Fall City, Muckleshoot, and Snoqualmie.

Awards: ENR Best of the Best Award for Project Management; Snoqualmie Library - winner of a AGC of Washington Grand Construction Award for a public building under $5 million; and an AIA Merit Award.
