Five Libraries - King County

Owner: King County Library System

Structural design services of five new libraries included determining structural systems, performing structural calculations, coordinating building design with prime contractor and other disciplines, and developing construction drawings. Assistance during construction included review of shop drawings, field visits and responded to contractor’s questions. Building materials designed include structural steel, concrete, CMU, cold-formed steel framing, and wood framing.  The libraries are located inBlack Diamond, Carnation, Fall City, Muckleshoot, and Snoqualmie.

Awards:  ENR 2008 Best of the Best Award for Project Management; Snoqualmie Library - winner of a 2008 AGC of Washington Grand Construction Award for a public building under $5 million; AIA Merit Award.
